Cheshire Constabulary Community Cohesion Group Volunteer Opportunity

Text Version of Letter
Dear resident,

The Community Cohesion Group is made up of local residents with an interest in how their area is
policed. The group, consisting of members of the community, is intended to scrutinize the actions of
local police and have their say on how specific policing incidents have been dealt with.
The group meets quarterly at locations in and around Chester. Meetings are chaired by the local
police Commander – a Chief Inspector – who is available to answer questions and respond to
concerns raised by residents.
As part of the meetings, group members view and scrutinize body-worn video footage of actual
police incidents and provide valuable feedback.
To become a member of the Community Cohesion Group, you must commit to attending three of the
four quarterly meetings each year. You must also abide by the terms of a confidentiality agreement
regarding some of the materials that group members are privy to.
If you are interested in joining the group, please email: Chester.LPU@cheshire.police.uk
Yours sincerely,

Sergeant 37129 DINGSDALE
LPU Beat Management – Chester
