Park and Ride Feedback to be Considered

Councillor Foxhall has been in communications with CWAC regarding the Park & Ride service following recent discussions with many Christleton parents regarding the policy to not issue single way tickets. He put forward the case that even if only travelling in the one direction this still reduces pollution entering the city centre and wanted it to be considered following a number of incidents of residents being refused/reluctantly being allowed to travel back from the city.

The park and ride team have responded to various communications with the following:
“The Park & Ride contract expires in January 2026 and will require recommissioning next year.
As part of this process different operating models will be explored, for which your request will be considered as part of the wider review of the service.”

If more people put their case forward this will increase the chance of this change being considered.
