Public Right Of Way Update Mar 2025

Latest Update

image of the proposed new PROW in Christleton including the compromised route A which is now going to a public enquiry.

Cllr Peter Tonge said that since the last meeting when it was reported that the landowner had
made a further request to move one of the footpaths (D) despite it already having been agreed
that as long as Footpath A was rerouted and the other footpaths re-opened without change then
the Public Inquiry process could be halted, CWaC have sent a response to the landowner’s
solicitor saying that since the compromise solution originally suggested has been taken off the
table by the landowner themselves, CWaC are proceeding with the Public Inquiry with all the
original footpath routes in place. All the appropriate notices will be served so that the Public
Inquiry can proceed after the 42-day Notice Period.
