Severn Trent Works Update 13th Dec 24

Walmoor Park – Our team have been working extremely hard to complete our work at the junction of Walmoor Park. Even with storm Darragh hitting the UK over the weekend and the team having to stand down, we are still hopeful that we will be finished by the evening of Friday 20 December 2024, if not sooner. We will provide an update early next week.
The road will then be reopened to through traffic.

Deva Heights – Unfortunately, there is a small section of reinstatement along Sandy Lane which isn’t to our usual standard, so, we need to come back to rectify this. This work will take place at the junction of Deva Heights on Sunday 15 December 2024. To enable this work to happen we need to re close Sandy Lane to through traffic for one day. Access to and from Deva Heights will be maintained in the direction of Dee Banks. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes. We thought you’d be interested in seeing what the team have been doing at the junction of Walmoor Park and the challenges they’ve had underneath the roads surface in order to install the water main underneath the unchartered sewer pipes which were found.
To continue the installation of the water main and make the connections we had to go back to using old fashion mining methods from the coal mining days.

I think you’d agree the team have done an amazing job to complete this scheme on time with all the obstacles that have cropped up along the way. – The Severn Trent Team.
