Completion Date 31st March.
Severn Trent’s £19million investment to install a new 3km water pipe in Chester and secure the future of the city’s network for generations to come is set to be completed by the end of March 2025.
This project has been the biggest investment Severn Trent has made in the city. Work on the highway was complete as per the programme, with the road closure being removed on Thursday 19 December.
Work is still ongoing within Jubilee Fields, with reinstatement to follow in spring. The team are busy installing pipework within Boughton Treatment Works, and the final connection will be completed by 31 March 2025.
Further work and reinstatement will then take place within the treatment works until June 2025.
A small amount of remedial work needs to take place on grass verges along the route of the pipe. This work will take place in the spring when the ground conditions have improved.
The project will see Boughton Water Treatment works connected to Huntington Water Treatment Works and the team is keen to thank residents for their patience and support throughout 2024 and 2025.
