Village Green Christmas Tree

A resident present enquired why erecting the annual Christmas tree had been abandoned and why the lights were now displayed in the Jim Partington memorial oak tree. It was explained that due to the lack of space on the Village Green a decision had been taken to display the lights on the oak tree instead last year.
The resident offered to source a Christmas Tree and arrange sponsorship to cover the cost of the tree and for its installation on the Village Green, which was accepted by the Parish Council, she will liaise with Cllr Brown to plan for the electrical connection and displaying the lights for the tree.
