Road Closures for Speed Limit Sign Changes 18th-22nd Aug Multiple Roads Affected!

The following roads will be affected due to the due to road speed limit sign changes as a result of the work by CWAC Highways and the Parish Council to reduce possibility of deaths at the junction:

Updated information 14/08/25:

Monday 18th August – Plough Lane (West) – Road Closure – Installation of additional 30mph & the new reduced 30mph signs at junction with Brown Heath Lane/Rake Lane – We will be working in small areas and moving locations as required, we will endeavour to allow access for residents (there maybe a need to wait) but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Other road users will need to use the published diversion route

Monday 18th August – Birch Heath Lane – Road Closure – Installation of additional 50mph signs – We will be working in small areas and moving locations as required, we will endeavour to allow access for residents (there may be a need to wait whilst the working area is made safe) but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Other road users will need to use the published diversion route

Tuesday 19th August – Plough Lane (East) – Road Closure – Installation of additional 30mph & the new reduced 30mph signs at junction with Brown Heath Lane/Rake Lane – We will be working in small areas and moving locations as required, we will endeavour to allow access for residents (there may be a need to whilst the working area is made safe) but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Other road users will need to use the published diversion route

Wednesday 20th August – Platts Lane – Installation of additional 40mph – We will be working in small areas and moving locations as required, we will endeavour to allow access for residents (there may be a need to wait whilst area made safe to enter) but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Other road users will need to use diversion route.

Thursday 21st August – Stamford Lane – Road Closure – Installation of additional 50mph signs and the resetting of posts – We will be working in small areas and moving locations as required, we will endeavour to allow access for residents (there may be a need to wait whilst area made safe to enter) but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Other road users will need to use diversion route

Thursday 21st August – Brown Heath Lane – Stop & Go Traffic Management will be in place, again working in small areas and moving locations as required.

Friday 22nd August – Cotton Lane – Installation of additional 40mph signs and the removal of 50mph and installation of 40mph signs at the junction of the A51 – We will be working in small areas and moving locations as required, we will endeavour to allow access for residents (there may be a need to wait whilst area made safe to enter) but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Other road users will need to use diversion route.
