This petition is from the Green Belt Alliance, on behalf of Christleton, Great Boughton, Guilden Sutton, Littleton, Mickle Trafford, Rowton and Waverton Parish Councils.

WHAT WE WANT THE BOROUGH COUNCIL TO DO   
We the undersigned petition the Borough Council to focus its planning resources on promotion of urban regeneration, brownfield development and place making within its existing urban areas so as to protect our valuable greenbelt. This would include:

1. Promoting new housing in areas of highest need and regeneration which are close to existing employment areas.
2. Updating the brownfield land register to maximise development on suitable, mainly urban brownfield sites.
3. Rejecting speculative and premature applications, on the green belt to the east of Chester, which prejudice the outcome of the Local Plan.
